Bring along your boat to this lakeside paradise for memorable days on the water! If you don't have a watercraft of your own, numerous local boat rental companies offer a variety of options so you can swim, fish, and boat the day away on Higgins Lake.
Less than 5 miles from the house, South Higgins Lake State Park boasts a mile of shoreline and 700 forested acres, perfect for hiking and picnics. Not much farther away, North Higgins Lake State Park features more than 8 miles of trails open for multiple uses.
Houghton Lake - the largest inland lake in the state - offers year-round fishing, with the popular Tip Up Town ice-fishing festival in the winter.
Colder months bring snow that's excellent for snowshoeing, snowmobiling, sledding, and cross-country skiing on nearly 100 miles of trails at nearby Cross Country Ski Headquarters and Forbush Corner Ski Resort. This vacation rental is truly the perfect home base no matter the season!
Treat yourself to a meal and a few rounds of bowling at Fred's of Roscommon, or grab a pie at Matt's Lake Street Grill and Pizzeria. Both restaurants are found within 7 miles of the house in the heart of Roscommon!

Great place great location
5/5 House had everything we needed and then some. Nice living space and was plenty of room for our family. Walking distance to a nice small beach but also a short drive to one of the bigger beaches or into town. Lovely place
