The home is just 10 minutes from Prudenville public beach and the historic Pines Theatre, has full lake access, and is near to a boat launch as well.

The adventures can start right off the front porch! You are steps from the dock so you may splash around in the refreshing waters, then relax in the hammock. Thankfully, there’s a boat launch at the end of the street, so bring along your own vessel or rent one when you arrive, then cruise the lake all day or use the canal entrance just a few doors down for fishing. Houghton Lake is the largest inland lake in Michigan, so you’ll want to get around and explore.

If you’re seeking a winter getaway, Houghton Lake is still prime for all ice fisherman, while the nearby trails are great for snowmobiling!

  • Relaxing by the lake

    Loved the layout of this place! The kitchen/dining room/living room is really nice. Everything was very clean, especially bathrooms and kitchen. Enjoyed looking out the window at the ice fishing on the frozen lake. It was something to see! Thanks for the guidebook with dinner recommendations (Blake's on the Lake was amazing) and also clear instructions for everything. Quick drive to cross-country ski headquarters. We had a wonderful weekend and would certainly return!

    We stayed for a week between Christmas and New Year's . We were very comfortable , our guys ice fished and we were able to watch from the house . Very clean and had everyrhi g we needed ! Would highly recommend !

  • Girls Weekend

    This is our 2nd time staying at this house for Girls weekend. This house has plenty of room for the 9 of us. Since we have stayed before I brought up a firestick so we could watch a little TV Friday and Saturday morning. The kitchen is fully equipped, but bring your own spices. The house was clean, check in was easy! Over all we had a great time hanging out at the house. Would recommend this house!

    I cannot say enough good about this home. We have stayed here a couple of times now and had a group of up to 9. We were all comfortable, it was not crowded. The owners are very easy to work with, and their communication is top notch. The openness of the kitchen, dinning room and living room make it great for large groups to enjoy time together. The only thing that I would change is the length of time that we stayed... it always goes so fast, and honestly it is never enough! If you are looking for a very clean home to stay in that has all the amenities needed for a relaxing get away do yourself a favor and stay here. A++++++
