  When we arrived we found the property to to be nothing we viewed on the listing. When we contacted the host, she acted on small things she could correct. The main thing we found, was the comfortable furniture shown on the porch0 in the description, had been replaced with old metal chairs. The inside chairs had been also been replaced with others. Nothing we found was like the description we paid for.

  The worst thing we encountered was the owner of the property.

  He called us before we left our home and was rude to us because we had called host and asked a couple of questions of things we should bring or not.

  After we had arrived and foufnd the property entirely different than the description, and contacted the host. The owner came to the property and spoke to my wife in a very rude and frightful way telling her we should have stayed home and I knew you were going to give me a bad review.

  The Sad conclusion from it all,

  We had our vacation ruined, cut short after the owner came by and face to face with my wife, yelling at her. And after all said and done the company handling the rental gave us a 2 day refund and basically letthe owner win.

  -"Firstly, we would like to apologize that we could not provide an experience that was up to your standards, but we are glad that you were able to find enough comfort to stay at our home for your entire booking period despite your complaints. Unfortunately, though, it seemed there may not have been anything we could do to improve your stay. We made every effort to ensure your comfort and promptly addressed any issues you encountered while staying in our home. This included providing firewood and a charcoal grill for your convenience.
  -We've always enjoyed positive interactions with our previous guests, and we warmly welcome each guest into our home. Communication with our guests is important to us, and we maintain open and friendly lines of communication throughout their stay.
  -We work very hard to create a stress-free environment for our guests and ensure great experiences. We tried just as hard to solve any complaints you had immediately and offered another place to stay for your comfort, as this concern was raised, but the offer was declined. While we do apologize for the circumstances that caused you to be unhappy, we hope the generous measures taken to make things right helped make up for some of the inconvenience.

• Five hundred miles to our home on the lake

  Awesome cabin on the lake. Felt so much peace and so at home ☺️ Would recommend it to anyone wanting peace and quiet

• Quiet and peaceful retreat

  We had a very nice time getting away from it all. We kayaked and swam, listened to the birds, and cooked all kinds of good local fish. House was clean, owners/managers were very nice and easy to communicate with during our trip.

• Spring Getaway

  We were looking for a family spring break that would not involve a ton of packing and planning. The property, Boyd’s Branch was just what we were looking for. Clean, filled with amenities, games and a view from multiple rooms. We felt like we were staying at an uncle’s cabin. We felt at home the minute we arrived. Easy to find, room for our family of 5 and everything we didn’t bring! Bedding, towels, a kitchen we could cook anything in and games and books everywhere. Such a lovely setting to visit and we will for sure return!
