Quiet serenity

You might have to deal with overwhelming insects in the house
3/5 Generally the house was okay. We stayed 1 week. Our kids were traumatized by the unbelievable # of insects that got into the house due to gaps in the windows the first 3 days until the issue was resolved. Had to buy inflatable bed to sleep on. Could not sleep in 2 rooms for 3 days. Had to keep the doors shut.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: We strive to make our house as comfortable as possible for our guests. We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced on an unusually warm night and strive to help our guests have optimal experiences. As an extra measure, we purchased window units for each of the bedrooms to accommodate future guests. There are fans to move the air around in some of the rooms to help with air circulation and added comfort. To address your concerns with the insect issue, we notified our property manager to fill the holes and seal any cracks from the air installation, to ensure we meet our high standards and expectations. We appreciate your feedback, and we are confident that future guests will continue to enjoy five-star stays here!

3/5 Nice screened-in-porch. Small shower, low toilet and flimsy bathroom rugs were challenging. Poorly maintained path to lake.

Hi Dorothy, we're sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We sincerely apologize about the bathroom rugs. There was one loose rug by sinks in the master bath, and it has been removed. Both bath mats have a non-slip rubber backing
- Any washed-out areas of the path to the lake will be addressed and refilled
- We have a smaller-sized shower and a larger tub and shower combo
- Both toilets are standard height
