Not what we expected

This rental was certainly not what we expected. I now understand why there are no photos of the outside of the house. It is located on a residential street on the outskirts of the city. It is not located near anything and is certainly not within walking distance of anything. We pulled up and parked behind a car up on blocks. While the neighborhood was not as we anticipated, I will say we never felt unsafe. And we’re grateful for the ring doorbell and monitoring system we knew were in place throughout our stay. There were no working lights in one bedroom upon arrival, so we had to rearrange lightbulbs from other fixtures to be able to see. I did text the property manager about the lights and she responded quickly and offered to send someone the next day had we not solved it ourselves. The freezer was dirty. The only toilet paper we had were the partial rolls in each bathroom, so we had to go buy toilet paper. We went to use the coffee maker and the pot was dirty and there were old moldy grounds in it from a previous renter. There are birds in a cage on the porch of the home next door and they began chirping very early each morning waking on of our guests up. The size and layout of the home worked for what we needed during our girls weekend. We came into town to see a concert. There were 6 of us who stayed for the weekend. The upstairs bunk area worked well as three of us were able to share the space and not feel crowded. Overall we enjoyed our weekend away, we just did not anticipate the neighborhood the house was situated in.

Property was great! Students and I were very pleased. Owner was very prompt in getting back to me on my questions. We will be looking at this property again for next year National FFA Convention trip!
