• Paradise on Maui

  We loved our view of the ocean and the surrounding landscape. The whale watching from our balcony was amazing and sea turtles regularly rested on our beach. The complex was very quiet, and we loved being lulled to sleep by the sound of the ocean. The unit was very well equipped and met our needs nicely. There is no air conditioning, but there are black out blinds which we made sure were shut in the day while we were out exploring, to block out the sun.I can’t wait to return in the future!

  Perfect for our family with three boys. A huge sea turtle my boys affectionately named “Jimmy” hung out on our beach the first day we arrived. Great little beach and snorkeling, pool with tons of pool toys, condo had beach toys and umbrellas and everything you need in the kitchen. Super comfy beds. Only missing items were shampoo and conditioner! “Farmer’s Market” store about a block away and has great sandwiches and smoothies. Really just a super special place and highly recommend!

• Comfortable stay at Maui

  The condo had all the amenities and more. It could use a little more cleaning. One major negative is the contact person's unavailability. She replied to my initial questions three days after I contacted and while there, when we asked a question we never received a reply. The Evolve team must ask her to be more responsive .

• Missed the Mark

  The good news is that the location is great and the grounds were well kept (especially given the age of the property). However, we did experience some unfortunate situations in this unit that were 100% avoidable. Lack of communication from the owner prior to check in regarding the broken washing machine (when we notified the point of contact, the owner reached out and apologized but no recompense was offered--only a solution that we would need to use the laundromat on property); failure to address a major safety concern with the pool (cover on the water intake was missing and had been missing for a couple of months, according to the property manager); and a significant lack of attention to cleanliness of the condo (dirty dishes and silverware in cabinet, dirty refrigerator, dirty shower doors, filthy window louvers, etc.) contributed to a less than desirable experience with this unit. Despite these challenges, we enjoyed our vacation--it's Maui, after all. We will return to Maui soon, but we will not stay in this unit.

  Hi Katie, we're glad you enjoyed the beautiful location, but we're sorry to hear certain aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to clarify the following:
  - Two weeks prior to your arrival, the local property manager notified you via email that the washer was broken and that a new washer and dryer had been ordered. They also let you know there were washers on site available for guests to use. We're sorry if this email was missed, but we did all we could to notify you before your stay.
  - A new washer and dryer are now in the unit and working great so this should not be a concern for future guests.
  - The property manager confirmed that there are no safety concerns with the pool. There are two covers; one is loose, which is being addressed, but this does not impact the safety of the pool.
  - We have never received a complaint about the cleanliness of the condo, so this is an exception, and we apologize. We have addressed this with our cleaning staff, and they will double-check all the cleaning utensils before each guest's arrival. We wish you would've let us know about your cleanliness concerns while in residence. We've been happy to address the issue right away for a most comfortable stay.
  We will continue to do all we can to provide our guests with the best possible stay!
