This house is in a great location midway between Savannah and Tybee island. Had enough sleeping space for three adults and two kids. The bad news was the house was very dirty. All the dishes in the cabinet needed to be te washed by hand because they still had bits of food on them. There was mold in the refrigerator between the seal and the door. Plus, the light was out in the fridge. The floor and baseboard were dirty and dusty. No propane in the grill outside.
We didn’t spend too much time at the house so we just dealt with the issues without alerting management during our stay but I definitely would not stay again.
Hi Tracy, we're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We're always available to remedy any issues our guests have. We did inquire if your check-in was ok, but we never heard from you.
- We will share your concerns with the cleaning service to ensure the home is spotlessly clean for all our guests.
- We appreciate it when guests let us know about any maintenance issues, such as the light in the fridge. We'll have this corrected. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback.
The house is lovely and close to all the things we wanted to see and do in Savannah. The kitchen is very small with limited counter space but we managed. My only criticism are the window coverings in the family room and 3rd bedroom. They offer no privacy at night especially. And as soon as the sun rose, we were awake. So we managed to hang some blankets over the windows after the first night so we could sleep in. Overall we would stay here again. It was great for our Girl Scout trip to Savannah.

Our stay was perfect for what we needed - 6 of us staying for 3 nights. Easily accessible to downtown Savannah, Tybee, etc.

This cottage is cute, but pretty basic and more about location. We were smack dab between Savannah's Historic district and Tybee Island in a quaint neighborhood. Most importantly for me though were the BEDS and we all had a great nights sleep throughout our stay! However, when we arrived the floors were dirty and pretty sandy, but I found the supplies and did a quick pass cause it was a long drive for us. By the entrance door there were lots of debris on the wall and bugs flying around. Also the bathrooms and kitchen need updating because the en suite toilet wobbled and one of the shower doors was off track. There was barely enough forks in the kitchen for the 7 of us. The couch was larger and different from the photo, but the cushions were pretty worn out. Lastly the table top ironing board had a broken leg and made difficulty using it. Nice family touches are the games and easy use of Netflix and Prime TV.
This was a nice cozy home with plenty of space for my family of 6 to move around and have their own space if needed. It was pretty easy to communicate with the home owner and she checked in with us to make sure all was going well. Plenty of toiletries in case you forgot something. We visited the beach often and got to explore downtown and venture on the Ghost and Ghastly tour and the Prohibition exhibit. We enjoyed our stay!
