• Just being honest

  Should really rethink property management ...horrible smell, mattresses hard as rocks, spider webs in living room, downstairs toilet handle extremely hard to push... but views are great. I've been using vrbo for 6 years never gave a bad review hopefully these issues will be resolved. CJ

As with any guest concerns, we would have been happy to address them right away. We use a professional cleaning company that does a thorough job of preparing the home for guests. We also collaborated with our cleaning team and inspected the home and found no issues to resolve. We stand by their work and commitment to ensuring the property is guest-ready
  -We're sincerely sorry you didn't find the bed comfortable. Mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. However, we apologize that you were not completely comfortable and that these specific mattresses did not suit your personal preference. While these mattresses may not be a perfect fit for every preference, however, they are one of the most approved in the market
  -Lastly, we're sorry to hear about your experience with the cobwebs. Our professional cleaner specifically scans each room for cobwebs after every guest's stay, but occasionally, depending on the time of year and being so close to the water the cobwebs can reappear if there are 1 or more days between guest stays

• In the mountains and under the stars

  I came for one main reason: to take astral photos of the Milky Way, nebulas, constellations, stars, and planets over Lake Chatuge. It was perfect! The rental unit was also a comfy setting to rest between my photo sessions.I loved the place. The fireplace was superb. The furniture was in great shape and comfortable. The view of the lake was spectacular. Ingles Supermarket and a variety of restaurants were close at hand. It was a fabulous experience and I hope yo repeat it soon.

• I wish we had known...

  This is a perfect place for the young at heart. Unfortunately, we are not. The photos show ramps going up to the back of the condos for easy access. Our VRBO was the only condo with steep stairs, very steep stairs. The lockbox did not work and the key was by the doormat. Once inside we found that the bedrooms were downstairs, very steep and narrow interior stairs. We called Tiffany right away needing help with the TV remote. Left a message and never heard from her. The 2 king beds were terrible and need replacing. One creaked and squeaked when any one turned over. The other one sank in the middle. We figured the TV remote problem by replacing all the batteries. The view was gorgeous...So if you are young this place is for you. If you are old fogeys with health issues go elsewhere.

  - We take our listing accuracy seriously and can confirm that the listing photos and description clearly show stairs and is only accessible by stairs, but we're sorry that this caught you off guard.
  - As you discovered, we always keep extra batteries within the unit for the remote controls, and we're glad that you were able to locate them.
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

  Great location if you’re looking for a getaway. We brought our paddle boards and the location was excellent for easy access to the lake!
