Lovely Lake Chatuge Getaway
5/5 We visited this property in the autumn, too cold for water activities but absolutely perfect for leaf-peeping and being outdoors. We loved the convenience to everything we wanted to do or needed; it was less than 10 minutes to the grocery store and downtown Hiawassee, and within 20 to Brasstown Bald or Bell Mountain. I can't say what the water-play situation would be like, since it was not only cold but the lake water had been let down so that the dock was nearly on the ground. Again, this did not bother us at all! It even got too cold to spend much time outside one day, and we were very comfortable indoors, even with a toddler. The furnishings are lovely, though a few things are broken or otherwise a bit unstable for a toddler to be around. My only complaint about our stay is that the kitchen tools were not in good shape or understocked! Trying to cook there was a bit of a challenge, and there aren't enough restaurants around to go to a different one each night for a week. However, I would 100% stay at this home again; I would just bring a few things from my kitchen! Speaking of, they do ask that you either bring your own paper products/soaps or provide replacements for what you use - just a heads-up!

Family Vacation
5/5 We LOVED this house! The location was so close to hiking, grocery store, and restaurants! You must have breakfast at Mary’s. We swam every afternoon and took a day trip to Helen for tubing! The house was stocked and so very cozy! Book this home if you are headed to Hiawassee!!

Beautiful mountain home
5/5 My family and I enjoyed our stay in this lovely mountain home. It was nicely furnished and we found everything we needed in the house for our stay. The hot tub was especially nice to relax in after a long day of hiking. We spent much of our time enjoying the screen porch and swimming in the lake off the dock. The only challenges we encountered - and these are not complaints - were 1) lack of blinds or curtains in lake front bedrooms (we like to sleep a little later than sun coming up) and 2) half the refrigerator had leftover food in it that we had to throw away to find room for our items. The check-in process was seamless and we had everything ready at our check-in time. Hope to come back and visit again.
