There's something for everyone in this fun vacation getaway spot. Spend a day screaming down roller coasters and splashing into the lake from giant slides at Margaritaville at Lanier Island - Atlanta's famous water amusement park. Finish the day with dinner and drinks along the marina. Try Pelican Pete's Tiki Bar & Grill for delicious beverages and food while watching pelicans gather along the dock.
Rent boats, paddleboards, and jet skis and explore the lake. Don't forget a swimsuit in case you happen to fall in! Take a boat around to the south side of Lake Lanier Islands for a fun day on the other shore.
In the summer visit the local Farmer's Market, where you can stock up on fresh produce and take a delightful picnic out to Don Carter State Park or go for a hike at Wilshire Trails Park. Take the kids to Kinsey Family Farm where you can pick pumpkins or apples, cut down a Christmas tree, meet farm animals, and more depending on the season!
The Atlanta Botanical Garden and Elachee Nature Science Center are other enjoyable local attractions. Play mini golf, go shopping, listen to live music, and so much more in the vibrant town of Gainesville!

4/5 This spacious home had plenty of room for our extended family to stay while attending a wedding nearby. The manager was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed relaxing on the back porch and sitting on the dock by the lake.
