This was a great property for a great price. My family had a fun time over the week and this was the perfect home base for the activities we had planned in Atlanta. The place is quiet and relaxing with plenty of space, and the separation between the living space upstairs and the activity space downstairs was especially nice. We had great communication with the property manager. On our first night there we had a bit of a storm and a tree fell in the neighborhood and knocked out the power for a few hours. Elaine was in constant communication giving us updates on when the power was coming back up, and things we could do in town while the power company worked on the lines. Overall we had a great experience.

Cameron Cottage is a relaxing get-away in a very quiet neighborhood with Lake Lanier in the backyard. We enjoyed watching the deer that wandered through the property in the evenings. Elaine, the property manager contacted us prior to our visit to introduce herself, again before check-in with logistics, while we were there to see if we needed anything and afterwards to ask about our visit. She was attentive and approachable. The home is excellent for entertaining from the layout to the amenities. I kept thinking how much I would have loved the lower level when I was young ~ a perfect hangout for teens and tweens and sleepovers! It rained a good portion of the day we hosted family for dinner but there was plenty to do inside to keep kids interested. There is a varied selection of fiction paperbacks if you're a reader. We enjoyed morning coffee on the dock or back deck each day. It's hard to tell from photos if you're going to like a place or not once you get there. Cameron Cottage does not disappoint. We would definitely stay again, especially in weather in which we could take advantage of the lake. Thanks for a great time!

When we arrived there were 8 dead roaches on the floor, 2 in the master bathroom, 1 in the other upstairs bathroom, and 5 in the kitchen all on the floor. I am not sure why they were like this if the house was cleaned recently. Also the remotes for the bedroom tv's did not work.

Pros: Nice, quiet residential neighborhood, covered parking, wildlife watching (including deer), plenty of space to spread out, entertainment (pool table, table tennis, TVs for Christmas to New Year's Bowl games), lots of cookware & dishes, plush towels, good quality TP and paper towels, plenty of extra blankets, property manager Elaine was very nice and helpful when contacted via phone/textCons: Unanswered emails about property at initial booking time months in advance and closer to rental week - none of my emails were ever answered and I wasn't provided a phone number until 2 weeks before checkin. Cleaning wasn't perfect (placemats and dining table needed extra cleaning), small bathrooms were fine for us but could be hard for someone with assistive devices. Access requires 10-15 minutes of driving nicely paved but narrow, very curvy roads that are typical of the area, but might cause car sickness for back seat passengers.
