We enjoyed our stayed. There were 7 of us. There was plenty of room. Very quiet and in a good spot. Not to far from activities! I recommend staying here!

I stayed here with my husband 2 kids and another family of 3. We had a great time. Plenty of space! Great views. Everything we needed was available. Close to food and shops!
The cabin was perfect for our family of 5 +2 friends. Well supplied and stocked!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful 3-story cabin and found the area to be very pretty and fun to explore. It is exactly like the photos and dozens of thoughtful extras were included which made us feel like guests rather than customers. The only things that prevent me from rating it a full 5 stars are the following: the house sleeps 8 but living room seats only 4, and basement seats only 5 unless you want to watch a movie from a wooden dining chair or barstool; the fridge made in Sept 2006 was extremely loud (owner advised they are replacing it as of April 2022); downstairs cable TV still doesn't work and hasn't been working per prior guests in guest book; handmade stair case is gorgeous but many steps are uneven by design which is cool-looking but creates a slight trip hazard and several rough edges that scrape calves easily; living room area rug isn't attached to floor (owner may be addressing that too); washer-dryer are low capacity so to wash one outfit for seven people takes two loads. I shared the issues with the owner and I believe they were going to address some or most of these after we checked out.Tips for guests: main GPS path to the cabin directs you to the wrong road (a permanently closed road) but it’s only a 3-minute detour to get to the cabin. The off- season was perfect for hiking and we had the nearby Stanley Gap trail all to ourselves (park on the roadside before the trailhead parking lot unless you have a high-clearance vehicle). Long Creek Falls trailhead is a half-hour away by car but is easily in my Top 3 Hikes worldwide. Check out Taste of Amish General Store, 18 mins away; sandwich options are kind of boring but they have dozens of kinds of rare, classic candies, some jellies, soup mixes, dry goods, etc. (but they no longer have a butcher shop, despite online pics from prior location). Iron Bridge was good but expect tourist prices ($12 per person for tasty fish on a bun). Nearest grocery to the cabin is approx 20 minutes away in Blue Ridge (Food Lion is closest, and Walmart is another few minutes away, in an area that has Checker’s, Zaxby’s, and other fast food options). In April the pollen was so thick outside that we couldn't really enjoy the awesome porches very much because the thick yellow dust returns within hours after each wipe down. Guests should be aware that many of the local restaurants have "winter hours" until some time in May so kitchens are closed all day Monday & Tuesday then close as ear
