Clean, well-equipped and furnished mountain cabin
4/5 The property is situated about 5 miles south of Blue Ridge up a winding, narrow mountain road. It is not isolated; you can still hear Highway 67 traffic in the evening. Picture an upscale subdivision of log homes (some quite large) with good views, scattered along the road. The cabin is modern, clean, and well-equipped, exactly as described. The screened porch offers a pleasant view. The kitchen is small with minimal counter and cabinet space. There's a tv in every room, but no instructions on how to access the baffling cable system - never did figure it out. The wifi password sent us by email was incorrect; you can find the correct one posted on the kitchen wall. A little information about the tv, area attractions, and restaurants would have been helpful; there was none. For example, the Benton MacKaye Trail, one of the state's top hiking trails, is (unmarked) about a quarter mile down the road, and would have been nice to know about before finding it on our own.
