  Good place to stay, the only thing was the pool was cold and due to that we really didn’t use it other then that nice place perfect size and close to every place we wanted to go. Would go back.

  The house was very nice with comfy furniture and plenty of space for my family of 7 to all hang out and be comfortable. The beach was 20 minutes away but with the pool in the back yard, we didn't need to be on the beach. I would definitely book this place again.

• Nice Location But...

  We stayed from April 6 to April 12, 2022. The area and house are very nice however we had several issues. First issue was the passcode did not work when we arrived and unable to get in touch with property management company. Home owner had a camera at the entrance and saw that we were struggling and contacted us to reset the passcode. Once inside we noted that it was clean looking however there is a musty smell in the master bedroom, most likely due to damp / old carpets. Another issue was garbage left in an open container in the garage from the last guest. Had to find a lid and air out the garage as it was nasty smelling. The pool also had issues as it was extremely dirty. Pool guy arrived next day to clean it and stated that it would not get much better as the pool had many leaks. During our stay 2 contractors arrived without notice to quote fixing the pool. It would have been nice to know all this before booking as we planned to spend much of our time lounging around the pool. At no time did the property management company call us, everything was through email which is not good customer service, They did however pick up the garbage from the garage but only after I asked them to. Location is great as it is only 15 to 20 minutes to Siesta Key or Lido Beach. This was our first vacation since pandemic started. We had a great time despite these issues. Love Sarasota and happy to be traveling once again.

  Hi Derrick, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  
  There are no cameras in the property anywhere. The electronic lock has a feature that alerts me when someone is trying to enter the property the first time. When I saw that there were several attempts to enter the property I immediately adjusted the code and called to ensure you had access to the property.
  I have installed a NEST thermostat that can be programmed from my phone and will begin to turn the AC on prior to guests' arrival which will prevent the musty smell as this is not due to old carpet.
  We have talked with our cleaning crew to ensure that the issue with the garbage does not recur for future travelers.
  The pool water is clean but the pool does need resurfacing making the water appearance look unclean. We were not aware of when the contractors were coming for an estimate of the repair work, and we apologize for this impacting your stay.
