Neighborhood is that of a lower socio-economic group but house inside is very nice and matched pictures. However, you do not get the whole house to rent like “normal” properties-meaning you will not have access to enter into the backyard for any grilling or lounging...just the front porch. The gate is locked and there is no back door exit from the house. In a fire, you’re exiting out the front door or a window. While you are outside on the front porch, the neighbor next door will be screaming all day long (started at 7a on Sunday-have video) and cops showed up during the day to talk to her (not called by us). Along with that you will hear the train horn loudly blast at least 4 times per day (and middle of night-also have video) so may want to bring earplugs. House was immaculately cleaned and very nicely decorated but you will not be able to watch tv in the living room...only in both bedrooms. While there, the ac stopped working (went up to 80 degrees in the house-have photo); I notified the owner only to be chastised that I didn’t set it right. (I live in Florida and know how to work the ac.). No attempt to send someone out to fix it, no reduction in price for the inconvenience, no further communication! And there is no way to open the windows because there are no screens to keep the bugs out! It’s a shame they can’t sell the home to another, more responsive, owner...then move it to another location.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. After going over your review, the homeowner wanted to address some of the items you mention:
- Travelers can see the neighborhood in the listing map before they book, and the owner has only ever had kind and respectful experiences with their neighbors
- The property is as advertised, and guests do have access to the entire home
- Access to a backyard is not advertised in the description or photos
- Travelers can also see in the listing that the 2 flat-screen TVs are in the bedrooms
- You reached out to the owner about the A/C at 10 pm the last night of your stay, and they let you know that it wasn't working because it was set on fan mode
- They didn't hear anything back from you, but still sent a technician to the property who arrived shortly after you checked out
Thanks again for letting us know about your stay!
House was very clean and well equipped. There is a very active train which runs throughout the night which is very near to property. Television in bedrooms only. Did not receive check in codes until just before arrival time/date (VRBO email notes to contact agent 48hrs. prior for info).

Hi Carolyn, we're very glad you enjoyed your stay overall! We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- As per the listing description and pictures, the house is immaculate.
- We make it as comfortable for our guests as we would for ourselves.
- The train tracks are 3 blocks west of the property.
- The lockbox codes are provided after request, normally one hour before the check-in time.
Thanks for your visit and feedback!
The inside of the house was well decorated and clean. There was no back door in the house so you could only exit from the front door. There was a neighbor who shouted profanity from 7am-9am and 5pm-9pm every night having random conversations with no one. The area had several sketchy houses and people. With two adults, fighting and cussing over a babydoll. Owner watched every move from the Ring doorbell. We had 5 guest in the home and the owner evicted us (4 middle age adult women) bc we had 1 extra guest which was a teenager, and was not offered a refund for remaining 3 nights. Encore did nothing to assist us as rentals.
Hi Amy, we were sorry to hear that there were some issues with your stay. After following up with the homeowners, we would like to clarify what happened:
- The owners reached out on the second day of your trip to let us know about policy violations, including your party being over the maximum occupancy as well as having vehicles parked on the lawn.
- We want guests to enjoy their stay with us, and these rules and policies are in place for your safety, as well as that of the home and the community. When you failed to respond or to remove the extra guests and cars parked on the lawn, the owners felt it was necessary to have your group evicted.
- We're very sorry that we were not able to come to a better resolution; however, guests are made aware of all house rules before booking and are also notified that breaking these rules could result in an eviction.
- Lastly, the homeowner assured us that the house is in a safe area and they have never had problems with the neighbors before.
The rental process was easy and the property manager was quick to provide a new coffee maker when I messaged him the one in the house didn't work. The rugs were in desperate need of cleaning but it was a great floor plan. Tv should have been in living room rather than bedrooms.

Hi Barbara, we're glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall! While the rugs are used, the homeowner keeps them meticulously clean. Finally, the listing photos accurately depict the location of the TV's in the home. Thanks for your review!
The place was very pretty inside and very clean.
