  We enjoyed our stay in Fort Walton! The location couldn’t have been better. The house looked exactly as pictured online! Simple beach decor and quality materials. The laundry room was super useful and the beds/pillows were comfortable (although I think the master king bed could have used a mattress protector because the mattress was on the older side). The kitchen was nice but a little under equipped if you plan to do a lot of cooking. The owners were there to respond when we needed but otherwise no contact on their end which was more than fine with us. There were only a few things that we felt could have used improvement. First off, we rented this house for the backyard for our kids. It was completely unkept. To the point that the weeds must be years old and we told our kids to stay away from it not knowing what creatures lived inside. The lighting outside was too dim as well. Outdoor lights being brighter would have helped us feel more safe coming back late at night. Some of our family members mentioned being surprised there were no bedside lamps. They mentioned only having 1 bright overhead bedroom light was not normal as you are reading or winding down for the night. Only 1 key was provided for a house that sleeps 6 adults so I think an additional key would have been very helpful for us on a few occasions. Also, the ice maker was not working which was a pretty big inconvenience. There were a few cracked blinds on the large front window which would have allowed someone to look in, we didn’t love that. Also, there are absolutely no shelves or dressers provided in the bedrooms. So we got there with over a weeks worth of clothes for 6 people and had no where to put our clothes except for our suitcases, some cheap shelving or a dresser would have been super beneficial in the bedrooms. Overall, this place covers the basics and for the price is a great place to stay. If I owned it I would add a fire pit and string lights in the cute backyard and it would have been so much cuter! If you book here I don’t think you’ll regret it. Thanks!

• Spring break!

  This property was overall clean and cozy, the only thing i would say to change is dusting of the house and cleaning of the counter tops and yard maintenance.... but overall my family loved the home and neighborhood was great distance from everything to access easy.... We will ne returning... thanks fort walton beach!!

• Overall would likely stay again

  Minuses: We had trouble getting in the key box. Code wouldn't work. Called property manager, no answer. Finally went to ring doorbell and got owner to respond and found they had changed code.Pluses: The house was superficially cleaned. It appeared clean at first glance but as examples there was urine down around base and sides of toilet, bathroom rug wasn't clean, if you moved an end table there was dirt under it.Pluses: The house was spacious. It was in a nice neighborhood; the yard was secure for our small dog. There was a large dog park nearby with a small beach. Overall, it is a place we would rent again but would hope it was cleaned better.

  Had a good experience. The house was clean and adequately stocked. We will probably stay there again. Good value for the price.
