  This was our family's first experience with a VRBO. The location is great, its centrally located which is a plus. Check in was smooth, had no communication with the rental company because there were no immediate issues. The pros: the location, house was CLEAN, beds were comfortable, nice balcony area to sit and relax. Cons: The furniture has seen better days( sofas, dining table, seat cushions for the bar stools) and lastly lighting was an issue for me. We arrived after dark so we couldn't see the house number for the house due to limited lighting. We look for lighting to the front of the home where you park the car but found nothing. There were also lamps missing light bulbs throughout the home. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

• Fun in Destin

  Overall the furnishings and comfort of the property were as listed. The location was great, it is a little trek to the beach though. About a mile and half to the Crystal Beach public access point. Parking seemed to be hard to find at times at the beach access. So be prepared. We went the week of Memorial day 2020, which was right after Florida opened short term vacation rentals back up after the COVID restrictions. There was an issue at the HOA pool. Which is beautiful by the way. This had nothing to do with the ownership however, and everything to do with the pool attendants. Apparently the wrist bands were the wrong color, and they would not let us in the pool area the night we arrived. The colors had been changed for season but since COVID had shut the office down the new wristbands had not been distributed. After about an hour and half of back and forth phone calls between the property manager and they HOA they finally let us in. This was hard to explain to a 4 yr old who had been waiting to jump in the pool all day.The beds were very comfortable and the master upstairs was very spacious. The suggestion we would ask that the owners improve is the kitchen. The stove top burners did not work very well. Only 3 of the burners would even turn on and 2 of the burners would fade in and out. Which was frustrating when you are cooking for 10. The dishwasher also leaked and the quality and quantity of kitchen pots and pans utensils could use an upgrade. There was a blender at the property, but the lid was so old and brittle that the plastic was chipping off into whatever you were mixing. If improvements are made in the kitchen area, we feel this property would be great to return to. A few of the chairs at the formal dining room need to be replaced as they are bent and uncomfortable. The hammock that is on the upstairs patio needs to be replaced, it is unusable.The property manager was very responsive to all our requests. I think it would be good though for the information to be consistent through all the communications . We had an issue with gate code#. We were given 2 emails with different gate codes. There were 2 different check out times distributed in emails 9 or 10am, and in the checkout binder in the house it said 10 am. Some communication consistency would help improve the guest experience. Other than that we enjoyed the house and had a great family vacation. We love Destin and will be returning again in a couple years!

  The house was awesome! Clean and plenty of room for my family. Community pool right across the street. Only complaints is the type of people that rent here are sometimes not who I would want around my family so we stayed away most days. The pool area is patrolled by a young female that would only say something to the families she wasn't scared of. Others were smoking mary j and she said nothing. Other then that it was a great place to stay.

  House was clean and as advertised Close to community pool right in front of the house . The walk to beach is more like 15 min but still a great stay ! Would stay again

• Amazing

  We had a girls weekend trip to Destin for a Taco and Tequila festival. This home was AMAZING. The beds were very comfortable( which is my pet peeve). There was plenty of space and we love sitting on the upstairs balcony. It was just a short walk to the beach. Which was great. My only complaint was that the weather wasn't warm enough for the pool. We will definitely rebook again.
