  • Misleading property description

    Beware that this property is a state of disrepair.The advertised ‘professional kitchen’ was nothing more than the bare minimum of some melted utensils and mismatched pots and pans. The stovetop microwave is broken. The fireplace wasn’t working. Every blind in the condo is broken and fixed in the closed positions. The wall are all scuffed up and in need of a paint job. Missing smoke detectors in the bedrooms, and that’s the reason for the review. It’s one thing to over advertise, but it’s whole other thing to care so little about your renters to have missing smoke detectors. Keep looking…

    - The fireplace didn't work for one day when a major storm happened. Although we cannot control the weather, we apologize for the inconvenience.
    - A previous guest removed the smoke detector because the batteries were low and were making noise. The batteries have since been replaced. We truly apologize for this.
    Thanks again for your feedback. We'll take all your suggestions into consideration so our future guests can enjoy their stay.

  • Winter Park condo

    Overall the unit looked just like it did in the images online. One thing we found misleading was access to the hottub. While we did have access to a hottub it was in another building so you had to go outside and across a parking lot to access it which was a little less than ideal in the winter. Also, we picked this unit for the views we saw online and while the views were good 3 of the 4 window blinds didn't work which meant it was hard to see the views. The property manager did send someone out to fix the shade on the expired sliders but they didn't actually fix it. There were half used bags and boxes of food in the cabinets (expired coffeemate, coffee, rice, granola, baby snacks, etc.)w hich were either intentially left there for guests or were left from prior guests whch I respect for not wasting food but was a turn off for us. There were half used bottles of shampoo, conditioner and mouthwash in the bathroom vanities which again was either left there for guests or just not removed after the prior guests. The dryer was left full of the prior guests' linens, the towels and sheets were really old and the bathmats looked like they hadn't been washed in awhile. The lighting in the bathroom was really really dim. None of these things were a huge deal but knowing them in advance would have been helpful before deciding where to stay in on our trip. The unit was very spacious the location was convenient and the property manager was pleasant and responsive.

    Hi Christopher, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - The hot tub is located in the next building. It's less than a 2 min walk. We'll ensure the listing is updated accordingly.
    - After we sent someone to fix the shades, you said everything was fine.
    - The dryer did have dry clothes that the cleaning team had forgotten. We hope the bottle of wine we sent made up for some of the inconvenience.
    - We have bottles of shampoo and body wash that our guests can use. However, due to the size of these products, they are not replaced after every visit.
    - Many of our guests appreciate the coffee, salt, sugar, rice, are other foodstuffs we supply. There was no cooked food left from previous guests. We understand if this gesture doesn't suit your personal preferences.

    If looking to ski at WP/MJ this is the place for you. Location is ideal for access to shops, food and grocery store. The unit itself was great. I was concerned when booking if would be noisy as right on the main drag but it was so quiet at night

  • Good location but needs work

    Pros: good location on main drag. Walkable to market and restaurants. Reserved (uncovered) parking spot. Plowed lot in morning. Nice outdoor slate hot tub across parking lot. Kitchen updated. Cons: Not clean at all. Maybe vacuum doesn’t work? Dust/dirt build up hanging off of ceiling fans. Broken window blinds. Broken smoke alarm.Filthy laundry closet in unit. Horrible yellow lighting in bathrooms. No dishwasher detergent. Towels are old and bedding was inexpensive.
