Annual family ski trip was a success as always. House was well equipped just a on the small side. Lighting was pretty limited. Overall I’d say the house is great for a small group or small family. There was 7 in our group and it was a little tight for us. House was very clean and kitchen had everything we needed. Host was great and quick to respond to any questions.
The Home is in a nice quiet neighborhood.Easy access to area attractions. The outside of the cabin needs to be pressure washedto remove cobwebs.

My family of 7 spent 5 nights in this house and the list of problems was endless. It started with first impression.......cobwebs all over the outside walls, front porch, and garage steps. Dirty, unkept outer area. inside the house, the rafters, deer head and also had cobwebs. The house has an electrical surge problem that causes the lights to go high and then dim........this is a continuous problem. Towels and linens were very old and many were stained. The bedspreads were soiled and some were ripped. The couch is very beat down and worn and not comfortable for sleeping 2 people. Do not rent for 8 people. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. The front door is a nightmare to try to lock. Read the instructions and when you give up, lock from inside and use the garage door opener. The greatest thing about the house is getting to watch the hot air ballooning and viewing the mountains from the deck. Location is good.
Hi Janie, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: 1) We're sorry to hear your stay did not meet your expectations. 2) The electrical issues you experienced were not due to any issues with the property, but with the utility provider. This was the city's fault and beyond our control. The electrical wiring in the cabin is perfectly functional. 3) Thank you for bringing the outdoor area to our attention. We are ensuring everything is clean and organized for our next guests. 4) The sleeper sofa has comfortably slept 2 additional guests in the past and mattress comfort is subjective, but we will consider your comments going forward. 5) Towels and linens are now being deep cleaned and inspected before every guest's stay. 6) We will be replacing the lock on the front door shortly. 7) Our property manager offered alternative properties for you to stay at that might have suited your party better, but you refused. They also went through how to use the TV step-by-step with you. 8) We want our guests to have excellent stays and put forth the effort to address any concerns brought to our attention.
Thanks for your feedback.
If I had to grade this house I would give it a C-. The hosts never replied to my email. Although the bathroom and kitchen were clean the rug in the living room had a huge stain on it and burn marks all over it. The recliner was filthy. Both need to be replaced. The sofa was uncomfortable. The king size bed was old and the comforter had stains on it. Since there were only two of us we would have slept in the more attractive bedroom with a queen bed but that comforter had a huge stain on it. Cobwebs were everywhere. The screen on the chimney needs to be fixed. We rescued a bird from the fireplace and released it outside. The home is close to town, did offer nice views and had a small fenced yard which is only accessible from outside. For the amount of money I spent on this VRBO I would expect a better maintained home with updated furnishings.
