Spend your days trekking through the San Juan National Forest, before cooling off in the Summit Reservoir with rafting, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
Venture just 38 miles to the town of Durango to take a ride aboard the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, carve the slopes at Purgatory Resort, or try some of Durango's top restaurants, including Serious Texas BBQ or Zia Taqueria, before grabbing a cold one at Steamworks Brewing Company.
We highly enjoyed ourselves- cabin is just as listed...except there isn’t a washer and dryer which I thought the listing mentioned? Anyways- it was perfect for our family. Kids and dogs enjoyed exploring around the cabin and we all enjoyed the taking hikes on the ranch. Wood was provided for the wood stove which kept the cabin warm and cozy! Beds are comfortable too! You may want to bring extra towels. Cabin is a short drive to Mesa Verde - but we only went one day because we wanted to spend more time at the cabin! We would love to stay again someday!

Had a great time at this cabin. Loved the seclusion up there.

WiFi was in and out. Needs a few touch ups. Shower door wouldn’t close. Not for the feint of heart. It’s backwoods and not roomy, but very scenic and alone.

Jared welcomed us at the gate of the resort, showed us how to unlock and lock the door, then he guided us to the cabin. He is such a good guy. In the morning, we received morning greetings from three groups of herd. What a warm feeling we never had before!

My family of 5 enjoyed staying in this beautiful, well-kept, rustic cabin. It was just what we needed to still stay with the basics but take a break from tent camping. We explored Mesa Verde and many other natural beauties in the area.
