Such a fun place to stay! Super close to the gondola and plenty of shopping/food options right outside your door. The building was quite cute and cozy.

The room was as expected based on pictures and others reviews. Could it use a little love? Probably. But for the price, it was a good value. My sole complaint is that the bed is SO hard that both my daughter and I had trouble sleeping. If I stayed there again, I would bring a mattress topper with me.

There are conflicting instructions regarding both how to check in and check out. Make sure to follow instructions from PMI on where to get the keys. They are located in a lockbox in Dillon, which is why I decided to rent a car vs. take a shuttle. For this reason, I really appreciated the available underground parking. I heeded the check out instructions from a text they sent prior to my last day, and that seemed to be acceptable.

All in all, I was very pleased with both the accommodations and the level of communication from the property managers.

  • Great location close to the slopes

    4/5

Pros: this is about the closest you can stay to the bottom of the main gondola at Keystone. Just a few steps from shops and restaurants. We felt like we got a good value and would probably stay here again.Cons: The unit is ready for a bit of TLC. The carpet needs to be replaced. The unit smells a bit like cigar smoke. Mattresses on bed and murphy bed are uncomfortably firm and could use an upgrade. The unit needs more pillow options for the beds and linens for the pillows.

  • Beautiful, cozy lodge in a great location

    4/5

Communication was good, property management got back to us right away with our questions and concerns. Had 1 locker key, we misplaced it for a short time. Called property management, were told 8am, someone would be there with another. Our concern was that we wanted to be on the slopes by open at 8:30 am. They assured us that someone would be at our door at 8am. 2 more were dropped off at 10:10am. When we called that morning they said "oh, he's running behind". Very disappointing as we only had 4 days to ski. Had 6 Jackpine building keys in our room, 3 worked and 3 didn't we quickly found out (when some of us were locked out). Check in process was ridiculous! Had emails sent stating "important, please read" told us to go to a wooden box at Blackbear to find our room keys. Followed all directions, that sent us on a wild goose chase. Contacted property management as we couldn't find the keys. They got us to another location about 6 miles away where we found room keys in a lockbox at some credit union or insurance company. Very strange! When I spoke to the man from property management told us, "oh those are old emails, you don't need to do that any longer (About tracking the keys down in the wooden box at Blackbear) Those emails shouldn't have gone out". Extremely frustrating with a day of travel under our belts and 3 kids in the car! Got an email the night before check out stating that we needed to drop our room keys off where we got them (6 miles away). We actually left after skiing the night before to stay with family in Denver, closer to airport as our flight was 6am. This email was received after we checked out. We left keys on dining room table instead. We were surprised to see that we were instructed to drop the keys somewhere that wasn't even on property and miles away. The cleanliness was not great. No mattress pad on the king bed. Just a fitted sheet. Found out after removing all prior to leaving. Salt, pepper, honey etc in a cupboard above the refrigerator, didn't find for 2 days. Broken blinds, board games were there but broken and missing pieces, a cabinet door in kitchen wouldn't close and we tripped or banged legs multiple times on it. The location and coziness of this property can't be beat. The attention to detail and organization by the management company was less than desirable.
