  • This was the perfect place and location for us to stay

    5/5

We wanted to have a central location for our family vacation and Grand Junction was it. After looking for places to stay we came across the "Train House" and it looked like it would fit us perfectly, since there were five of us. We arrived in the evening and the lights were on for us, which was nice. Everyone had their own bed to sleep in, which was great. The kids enjoyed playing battleship on the front porch. There were other games available for use and cards. The kitchen had plenty of plates for us to use. There were some items that we didn't have to purchase available, like coffee, mustard, flour, sugar, creamer, and some others. We enjoyed using the grill and cooking meals there rather than going to a restaurant. I really enjoyed having a washer and dryer so we didn't need to pack as many clothes. There was plenty of room so we weren't on top of each other like we would have been if we stayed in a hotel. After visiting a few National Parks, we would come back to relax and eat dinner at the house. Everyone was really happy with the house. It is an older house but it is a great place to stay. I recommend the "Train House" if you have a family and are planning to stay in Grand Junction.

We stayed here with our family. Grand Junction is a great town. We hiked and rode mountain bikes. The house was great. Lots of charm. The shed for storing bikes was especially useful.

Train House is a nice older home with lots of character, and I mean that in a good way!

Location is great as we walked downtown to see the lights on Christmas Eve. Rise said the home was very clean and that's a great compliment coming from her. Also close to Colorado National Monument was out destination.

    Thanks.

    Manager's Response:

From the Owner: "Thanks guys for such a nice review. I'll pass it on to my housekeeper about the house being clean. I'm pretty strict about that and now she will know why!! I even emboss toilet paper for the train house and hopefully, she had that out for you too!
Come visit us again., we will be waiting for you!"
