Stayed at this property. Noticed an inordinate amount of spiders of all different varieties. Contacted the guest contact about having to kill 5+ large spiders in the bedroom I was staying in every morning when I woke up. Spiders literally everywhere, I grew up in a wooded area and this was not normal. Guest contact offered to send someone to inspect and spray the unit (meaning I had to vacate in the meantime) and then also offered a prorate on the property and told me that I could move out. I told them I wanted to end early and receive the prorate as they had offered. After leaving the property, they told me that they would not uphold what their guest contact had promised me. Basically, robbed me of a very large amount of money. Extremely disappointed in the property management team and the loss.

The property was pretty much as described on the listing. Definitely has a dog smell throughout the cabin, especially the sun room off the back. The drive way is steep and muddy, so if you don't have 4 wheel drive... goodluck. I only got phone service and internet in the “master bedroom. There's a neighborhood dog that runs around and came up to the porch and back fenced in area multiple times, so if you have dogs be aware of that. The road getting to the cabin is in terrible condition. Our property contact was not helpful at all, I emailed him before we left asking about certain amenities and his response was “I'm not sure. If you're looking for a small dog friendly cabin with the very basics and don't care too much about cleanliness, this cabin is for you!

Walkway/ deck was not shoveled of snow and the snow shovel didn't help much. The cabin had no WiFi or cable so be prepared by either bringing your own DVDs or select from their small stash. We took two quick showers and the water never drained so we were unable to take showers the second morning we left. Some aspects of the cabin are nice I closing it's secluded location

This mountain cabin was everything we hoped for and just as described. Great get away location in the forest of FairPlay.

The cabin had no instructions. Generally, you have a book that lets you know what to do or expect. No book was available. The hot water heater made a crazy noise which would have been nice to know that nothing was going wrong. No WiFi, no TV/satellite. It would have been nice to know how to use the TV. We tried to use the TV but no success, since we did not know what we were doing. They had DVD's but we couldn't figure out how to use the DVD player. The snow was about a foot high on the front porch, with a really crappy snow shovel. We slipped and slid on the front porch every time we went in or out of the cabin because the snow shovel was almost useless. It was a very rustic cabin with no extras at all. They were more concerned about the time you checked out over the usability of the cabin. For what you are charged, you would think you could have gotten the front porch shoveled. I really hope they at least get a book put together on all of the ins and outs of the cabin. The place wasn't as clean as you would think it should be since you pay a bunch of money for cleaning. If you charge for cleaning you should have a clean place to stay. The Brita water container was a ice bucket in the refrigerator. I let the Brita thaw out then I looked in the container and it had a nasty brown layer of grime in the container. I should be charging you for caring enough to clean that nasty container. Overall, I would give this place maybe a 3 out of 5 rating and that is being generous. The windows have mold around the window seals and trim. This place needs some TLC.
