Stayed here while we skied Silverton and was looking for a place that had some space to spread out after a long day. Was hoping for a bit more explanation on where the hot tub was on the property and had a hard time finding the front door to the building, as it wasn't easily marked. Plenty of outdoor parking was available, but it was not well maintained and very icy. Overall, I gave this place 3 stars. It could have been 5, however a bit disappointed in a few things that could have been easily taken care of in my opinion:The bathroom wasn't clean. The fridge light was out.The garbage disposal was broken, which my husband ended up fixing. The bathroom sink was clogged. No kindling for the fireplace, just large pieces of wood. The lights in the bedroom were out. Dirty pots and pans. The hallway reeked like a stale ashtray–nauseating. It was fairly chilly inside bc the bedroom window and sliding door were left open when we arrived, prol due to the smell. Notified Clay, the owner, via text, he responded immediately to my surprise. He addressed my concerns, apologized, and said he would rectify them the following day on my schedule. He never did show up, or call.

From the owner: "It’s unfortunate that Karen felt compelled to write this review. Her concerns were addressed immediately and our housekeeping staff went above and beyond to look into the issues she raised. The condo was inspected and confirmed clean prior to her arrival and again on day 2. Every effort was made to ensure a pleasant stay and we will continue to be committed to exceeding guest expectations. Please read other reviews to get a more accurate view of this offering."
2 adults and 5 yo. This was a perfect place for us. Pull out sofa was a fun adventure for our little one. Beautiful property, updated interior and good amenities.

Good location 5 min from Purgatory resort. Nice place, refinished bathroom with large shower in particular. Owner (and Evolve) was very accommodating and friendly when we had to book last minute (late evening 2 hrs before arrival) due to a VRBO cancellation.
Very nice place. Had a couple issues with housekeeping issues left before we got there and water pressure in shower is very low. Plus issues with Marijuana smoke smell in the apartment from neigjbors. The fireplace and free firewood was great! All in all, we enjoyed it!

My friend and I stayed at Cascade Village for about a week in late August, mostly using the spot as a "home base" for spectacular local hiking between Silverton and Durango. The property is quiet, well-maintained, well-furnished, and (of course) surrounded by picturesque scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and definitely will consider staying there again if and when we return to SW Colorado!
