Pack your bags and head to Colorado for an unparalleled getaway. Tucked away in the forest, this 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom vacation rental cabin in Cripple Creek features a spacious loft and can comfortably accommodate 4 to 7 guests. The cozy A-frame cabin offers incredible forest and mountain views from its expansive back deck. Although you'll feel secluded from the world during your stay, you'll only be 4 miles away from Cripple Creek and everything the area has to offer!
Be sure to pack your hiking shoes, because Colorado has some of the most beautiful state parks for you to explore during your stay! Mueller State Park and Even Mile State Park are just a short drive from the cabin and offer fantastic vistas and miles of hiking trails. Cross-country skiing in the winter is a must if you love the outdoors.
Animal lovers won't want to miss out on visiting the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, which is only 15 miles from the cabin.
Cripple Creek is one of only a few towns in Colorado that allows gambling. Drive 4 miles to press your luck at one of the many casinos in town. Once you hit it big, take your winnings and dine at one of the tasty local restaurants.
Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is 12 miles away and boasts exceptionally preserved insect and plant fossils that are sure to capture the attention of everyone in your travel group.
Overall, a great location. Some minor TLC needs to be done (ripped screens on sliding door, rug on living room carpet is a trip hazard). Otherwise, we loved it!

We had an excellent vacation and would stay here again! It was everything that we were expecting and more!

We very much enjoyed staying at this cabin. The interior was very comfortable and the neighborhood was beautiful. Our only issues were finding the driveway and it’s condition. The driveway was half washed out over the culvert, which was concerning to drive around at night. I would definitely recommend a 4WD car even in the warm months until the driveway can be filled. Overall though, it was a great stay and would recommend it!

Was a great getaway for my wife and I. Definitely off the beaten path but worth the drive. Cozy cabin with everything we needed for cooking-even some extras in the pantry. Deer and a hummingbird came to visit us. Only downside was the driveway-we were told there was some recent heavy rain that washed some of the driveway out. We also drove by the driveway before we realized where it was. Be brave-you can do it. We did it in our Chevy traverse but if visiting in winter you better have a truck or 4 wheel drive.

Such a beautiful house cozily nestled in the forest. Not so secluded you feel unsafe but private enough to enjoy the scenery and relax. The only thing I would change about the listing would be adding all the wonderful amenities they provided: spices, shampoo / conditioner, DVDs, every condiment known to man, etc. We're definitely planning on staying again!
