  This house was perfect for our family. Great central location. I really loved the charm and history of this 1908 home. It had everything we needed for our stay. The private hot tub was a plus and the claw foot tub! The house has been updated but still has the feel of an older home which I love! Great job to the owners! Only feedback I can give is to add some really good pillows for the beds.

• It's pretty - Just not ideal for us

  Our stay was not exactly stellar, but I will say that the guest contact and owner were super personable and did their best to make things less uncomfortable. I think this could be a great property for some, but it was not anywhere near ideal for my family.

  A couple of notes I think others might benefit from:

  1. The furniture is NOT meant for big folx.

  - We are not small beings and we found that the bench in the kitchen and bed in the front bedroom bowed and creaked a LOT when we attempted to use them. We opted to use the pullout couch after the first night and refused to use the kitchen table since it was clear that these couldn't hold us, not to mention no one wants a bed or chair to break simply when you sit on them.

  2. The bedroom doors do not latch or stay closed.

  - This isn't an ideal place for people who are looking to be able to have some privacy from housemates.

  3. The bathroom door is secured only with a lock style latch.

  - It cannot be closed unless someone is in there. NOT ideal for keeping dogs out of the bathroom.

  Our stay went like this:

  When we arrived we did not have hot water, it was very late so our family was only going to sleep anyway and the water was fixed by noon the following day which was great news!

  While the handyman was there fixing the water we agreed to allow for some repairs on the front of the home during our stay. We were under the impression this would only be a couple of hours and figured it was the least we could do considering how quick they were to repair the water. What we weren't aware of was that there would be construction noises and repair men outside the home for the full duration of our stay from that point on.

  They did move from coming in and out of the yard to staying by the shed when we expressed how stressful this was, but it was still a less than ideal experience overall

• Sweet and Simple

  Had a lovely time celebrating my birthday here with a couple friends. The house was charming and warm. It had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect, we were close to everything we wanted to do and even though we were close to the street the house was quiet inside.

• The perfect location

  During our time in Colorado Springs, this property suited our needs perfectly. It was close to all that we wanted to do and visit (Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Cave of the Winds, shopping, etc). We really enjoyed the hot tub and felt it was a safe neighborhood. The owners provided great information to make our stay and time in Colorado Springs as enjoyable as possible.
