We had a really relaxing stay here. The location is convenient, between Buena Vista and Salida, close to rafting, fishing and the numerous hot springs. Private access to the Arkansas River out the back door. House was well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry. The neighborhood was really peaceful and quiet. We would definitely consider a return trip!

This property is in a very convenient location, well maintained, and we loved the river access. The owner was quickly responsive with our questions and it was great to have so many dining and recreational activities close by!
I had a lovely time at Angler's Alibi. It is nestled back facing the gorgeous views of Mt. Princeton. Once I arrived, I walked into a bright cheerful room with fun artwork. I headed back into the kitchen and was greeted by several sweet deer grazing right outside the sliding door! What a welcoming party! Everything was clean and cozy. I had peaceful rest; the neighbors are very quiet and I hardly knew they were there. I went into town and to Mt. Princeton hot springs; everything was within 15 minutes away so it's a great convenient location. The river runs right behind the property so I had a nice morning coffee out there. It's a gem of a setting and I will definitely return. I only have one small criticism- the lock on door (it's a coded lock). It sticks and doesn't work everytime. So I had to wrestle with the door a few times to get in. I didn't know about that upon arrival and had to contact the support to find out, and wait for assistance to get in. It was just me by myself, and I didn't let it spoil things, but if a family with kids was dealing with that it would be more of an inconvenience. Each time I went out and came back I had to struggle with it, and wait in the cold for the door to open. So I would strongly recommend repairing or replacing that lock. Don't want to end on a bad note though- I really did enjoy my stay and look forward to coming again in the warmer months! Thank you!!!!

Owner's response: "Hi Marie - I'm so sorry the lock gave you grief. I had the handyman out right after you checked out and he aligned the deadbolt with the plate inside the door frame. It works w/o a hitch now. Thanks so much for letting us know it was a problem. We always want things to be smooth and hassle-free for our guests. And we do hope to host you again in the future!"
This was the perfect place to stay for enjoying the area. Super close to the new Main St area in Buena Vista, and a short drive to Salida. You can walk to a cute, locally owned coffee shop that has burritos and beer too! Kitchenette had everything I needed to make breakfast (I heated up pre-made bfast potatoes in the toaster oven and microwaved egg whites) and lunches; we went out for dinner. Ping pong table in the garage was a nice surprise. Loved sitting out back listening to the river. One suggestion for the owner - please add shelves or a luggage rack to put overnight bag on.
From the owner: Thank you for the wonderful review, Amy! I appreciate your feedback about adding a place for my guest's luggage! Per your suggestion, I've ordered two luggage stands to make future guests more comfortable. I hope to have the opportunity to host you again soon!
