2/5 Close enough to Buena Vista but yet far away for some stargazing. Quiet place to stay.
Great location, horrific pet urine smell, rude owner, lack of follow through
1/5 This property has a great location. Very close toTown and wonderful hiking and outdoorsing opportunities. However, this property smells like pet urine. When we arrived, the front bedroom carpet had clearly been recently cleaned with something but there was a pet urine stain that was still covered in sticky cleaner. The master bedroom carpet had stains and smelled like pets and faintly like cigarette smoke. We reached out to the contact number, and were promised (for three days in a row) carpet cleaning and some sort of compensation on our stay. We received neither. We were then promised a gift card to a local restaurant. We never received it. After texting with the property manager and the owner (the property manager was extremely kind, the owner was extremely rude) we were summarily ignored for the remainder of our stay. I have never left a negative review on any property, but please be warned about this one. Some new carpet, fixing the leaky bathtub faucet, and a bit of updating would go a long way. The pet smell was overwhelming…and pet hair was everywhere. The towels were very old and threadbare, and there were only 4 bath towels. This could be a fantastic location with just a little work and professionalism.

House was ok- disappointed for what I paid.
2/5 The house worked for us for a few days but we were disappointed in the smell of the house (had a musty and smoke like smell) and the cleanliness of the kitchen. The fridge was dirty, floors were dirty and there were some forks that looked like they never got washed. Beds were clean. Carpets had dog hair all over them that got all over my kids clothes when they played in the floor. Was nice to have a back deck to sit at.
Great views combined with comfort
5/5 We spend Memorial Day weekend in Buena Vista and found this house to be a perfect jumping off point for our many adventures. The house is large and accommodated four adults, two children, and our pup Teddy perfectly with three rooms and two bathrooms. The house is about 5 minutes drive from BV, very quiet, and the location is stunning with mountain vistas all around. A short walk with the dog down the road and we were surrounded by Rancho and. Across the street is a drive in movie theater which is an added perk - with no downsides as we couldn't hear anything while in the house. All in all, highly recommended!!
