• Best House Ever

  This house is a perfect spot for any large family. The space is so efficient with a huge kitchen and living room that allows everyone to relax comfortably in one space and no one has to feel left out. It is a cozy home that consists of many beds for everyone to snuggle in and get comfortable. The deck on top is awesome to take a break and enjoy the wonderful nature of South Lake Tahoe. I would definitely stay here again in the future and I probably will!

  Location was great and close to everything but the property is dirty and needs better cleaning. The covers of the beds were filthy like they had not been washed in years. I felt disgusted to touch the beds. I always take my own sheets with me so there was no need to sleep in their sheets but if you don't take your own sheets just be aware that it is disgusting how dirty some of the covers were. Carpet throughout the house was stained and dirty. Couch was stained and dirty. I travel to Lake Tahoe twice a year and rent from VRBO but this place was the worst from all my stays. I would not go back to this property. On top of all this there were 2 cameras on the property one in the front and one in the back yard so you felt like someone is always watching you and you don't have your own privacy. I am truly disappointed in this place.

  Angela, while we appreciate and welcome constructive feedback, we and the homeowner do not believe this feedback is warranted. As evident by past reviews, this homeowner is known for their 5-star service and has never received feedback like this in the past. During your five-day stay, you never once reached out to the homeowner or property manager to report any concerns or issues with the home. Though you stated that the carpet throughout the home was stained and dirty, there is only carpeting in the bedrooms. The rest of the house has wooden floors. In the big bedrooms where there is more open space, this homeowner has put rugs to protect the carpet from getting dirty or stained. The carpets and the couch were also recently professionally cleaned, and we do not see how they could already be stained. Furthermore, the bed covers and sheets were purchased just six months ago. This homeowner was so taken aback by your comments that she actually called each and every guest that stayed at the home in December to confirm that the house was in perfect shape, and none of those guests had a single complaint. Finally, we have confirmed that this listing does state to all potential renters that there are 2 outdoor cameras located on the property, however, we apologize if you overlooked that and this caught you off guard. The cameras are never in use when renters are at the property. This homeowner and her team truly go above and beyond to make every guest feel at home, even leaving a Christmas gift for you and your family to enjoy upon arrival.   It was the most amazing view I have ever seen. The home was well kept and cozy. The back yard and deck was relaxing. Plenty of space for a big family. Would definitely return. The only thing I was cautious of were the cameras around the house but I understand.
