• Great, bright, comfortable spot in North Park

  The apartment is the upper floor (over a garage) on the alley (paved) behind 33rd street. Room to parallel park a "full sized" 4 door rental car on the driveway pad on the alley, if you can't pull that off it will be a walk of at least 100 yards down the alley to the nearest on-street parking. A couple steps up to the back yard gate, then several most steps up to the unit. Keyless entry is easy and quick. The building is new, and thoughtfully put together -- a comfortable bedroom (queen) with closet and dresser and bedside tables (with charger plug ins), bathroom with tub/shower -- nice fit and finish, laundry in the hall then a very usable kitchen with island table separating that from the living room (with queen sized pull-out). All the furniture was nice, new and comfortable, all the finishes were clean, new and bright. We didn't cook but I cook a lot at home and the kitchen was very nice -- high end gas stovetop, big fridge and freezer, all the dishes, pots and pans, etc. and a dishwasher. Location is fantastic - 15 minutes from the airport, a mile and a half from the zoo (and all that Balboa Park has to offer), a bodega (corner store) with everything you'd possibly need one block away, and amazing BBQ place right there too. Hot tub was delightful (clean, new, etc.) with a separate bathroom on that level which was handy. We were visiting family in North Park so it was a perfect base camp to stage up, walk around, and take off to enjoy all things San Diego (and Disney...). With 3 of us (2 adults and a teen) it was a perfect size, we would highly recommend and definitely stay there again.

  Quiet and sun filled apartment. Well equipped in the kitchen. Wish the neighborhood had more interest (shops, restaurants) but a short drive/long walk gets you to another.

  An excellent experience from start to end. We stayed 5 days, the local restaurants were fantastic, great walking neighborhood. The apartment was clean, relaxing and super thoughtful amenities like great kitchen supplies, we were able to cook several meals at home, do a load of laundry, and leverage the beach supplies like chairs, coolers, ice packs, toys and towels. We didn’t have time to enjoy the outdoor space but it was absolutely darling and had we had more time we would have enjoyed bbqing and lounging or hot tubbing. Just a hint, the parking space is conveniently located - a smaller compact is ideal for quick in and out but a slightly larger vehicle would just take a little finessing but will fit.

  The apartment was modern, clean, comfortable and very well-appointed. It seems the host had thought of everything we might need and added some special touches to make us feel welcome. We especially loved the hot tub and outdoor space. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!
