I'm not sure what is going on at Pine Mountain Club but I paid more money to stay here because it had a pool than I would have with another vacation rental. However, my host forgot to leave his guest cards so we weren't able to use the pool as much as possible. Everytime we tried to go to the pool, the rules changed. First we needed a pool card, then could get in without one. Then we couldn't get in without the pool card so we got a pool card and it worked. But the next time we went with the same setup we couldn't get in because of the fact that we didn't have enough guest cards. It came off a racist and unwelcoming instead of grateful that I introduced so many people to Pine Mountain Club that have never heard of it.
Really nice house. Very clear and helpful instructions for check in/out and nearby things to do. Walking distance to a nice park and recreational area, local market, bar/restaurants. Thanks!

My family and I had such a lovely time during our stay! Check in was a breeze and the rental company and owners were easy to communicate with. The home itself is simply stunning - just the right mix of modern with a touch of the rustic outdoors. It was also very clean and well stocked with linens and extra towels and blankets (although we couldn't locate any washcloths so bring those with you). The kitchen was also well stocked with a surprise ice cream treat for our kids in the fridge ;) We did come during the hottest month and there isn't a.c. but there are fans in all rooms and the evenings get cool (best star gazing ever by the way, when it hits later in the night.) There is a bedroom and bathroom on each floor and the beds were divine! The owners did not hold back on quality - felt like top of the line mattresses, very nice furniture, linens, decor, etc. The bottom level shower wasn't working but it wasn't a huge deal for our family.Lastly, we found the location to be perfect for what we had in mind. Close enough to walk to the little village (super cute with coffee shop, pizza place, live music was playing... but most things shut down for COVID-19) or the clubhouse (with golf course and pool), close to basketball courts and baseball field for the kids to play on, and we were told by locals it's also within walking distance of a catch-and-release lake. We chose to spend our time trying out the hiking trails - I recommend the Woodland Falls Trail as it leads to a picturesque waterfall which is a nice reprieve on a hot day. We also did Eagle Pass Ridge which is an easier path that leads to a meadow and would probably be very peaceful on a cooler day. (We also learned that bears have a real presence here so do your homework to make sure that both you and the bears stay safe! We learned from the locals that it's usually the vacationers who don't follow the guidelines which often leads to tragedy (for the bears!) so pay attention to directives to ensure that bears and humans can both co-exist in harmony! We did not feel unsafe at any time...just stressing this for the bear's sake because this didn't seem to be emphasized in enough places and ignorance can lead to an easily avoidable encounter). We chose this house for the pictures, location and many things to do, and it did not disappoint! We will be returning for these same things, and for the hospitality. Thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful, inviting home!
