Arthur, the rural location of this property is part of its charm but, unfortunately, means spider webs can be common in the treehouse, and our cleaning team works hard to make sure that the home is free of any webs or critters as well as our ongoing pest control company. We are sorry to hear you did not receive the check-in instructions and did verify they were sent via email on 12/17, sometimes these emails end up in junk. We apologize for the inconvenience of having to call in, but we are happy to hear you were able to receive them at the time of check-in. Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
The cabin was not clean whatsoever. There was ants in multiple areas, spider webs and spider throughout the cabin, the ceiling fan was caked with dust, the beddings were stained as if they weren’t washed, and there was rat droppings in the closet where the kitchen was located and in the fold out mattress in the living room! I wanted to leave this place, but I’m we all traveled about 3 hours. There was two empty propane tanks, so we couldn’t BQQ all the meat we brought. We ended up venturing out to Pyramid lake to do so. I contacted Joel about the empty tanks with the help of a nice gentleman from the bakery who let me use his cellphone because we had no service. He said he would get someone on it and that never happened. We didn’t see all the disgusting rat droppings, spider webs, spiders etc until later at night and through out the weekend. The outdoor patio was not clean nor the BBQ pit. As if we could use it with empty tanks. I would not stay at this place ever again. And they have the nerve to leave instructions to wipe counters, sweep floors and leave towels in the bathtub! We should be paid the cleaning fee, not the supposedly cleaners. Also, the passes left for us to enter the pool are old, according to staff and there was not enough passes to accommodate all of my family. One thing the uncleanliness of the cabin and the hospitality can take away is the nice people of pine mountain club, the pool, golf course restaurants, fern lake, and the beautiful scenery of the mountains. We’ve stayed in Pine Mountain Club before and know that there are clean cabins and generous hospitality who actually check the status of their cabin.

This cabin was perfect for our size group and interest. We had 7 people total and all of us were able to have our own beds. The main area is a little cozy for that many people, but we made it work. We loved the cabin, and the area was beautiful, but there were some minor issues. The first thing was getting to the actual cabin. We were driving in at night and was not aware that it had snowed a couple days before our arrival. As we got to the last 3 miles there were signs everywhere stating chains were required. We did not have chains and there are no stores nearby that are open in the evening. Thankfully we chose to see how far we could go and thankfully the roads were all cleared out, but the driveway was not. We were not able to park in the long driveway when we arrived and had to carry all our stuff up a short distance, but it was cold and slippery. It was a little difficult to see the lockbox as the lights were out and the box is a little old, so the buttons weren't working at first. Another thing that I wish we would have known is that there is a beautiful hiking path right across the street and many people park right in front of the cabin and walk across the property as well. We were quite surprised to have random people walking up the hill next to the cabin (I don't believe it's a trail, but many people walked up it anyways.) The surrounding mountains and forest are breathtaking there. We did have a fluke situation happen and the property manager tried his best to resolve it. The heater went out in the cabin, and he couldn't get a repair guy out during our stay to fix it. He tried his best and helped us with other suggestions to resolve the matter. He was very accommodating and tried different avenues to rectify the situation which was out of his hands. The other concern to be aware of, is that you will have no phone service at the cabin and all though there is wi-fi, there were huge delays in communication with the property manager. Not because of him, (he was great) just a slow connection. It states there is a land line phone in the cabin, but we looked everywhere and could not find one.Even with the issues that I mentioned, we would stay there again. We celebrated my daughter's birthday, and she absolutely loved the place! I am grateful that the adults had their own rooms and bathrooms. We all enjoyed the hike and gorgeous waterfall not far from the cabin front door.

We rented this property for Labor Day weekend, we had a great hike right across the street, the pool was only a short drive away, but enjoyable. 6 children stayed in the basement my husband and I stayed in the loft and my friend and her 5yr old in the bedroom by the kitchen. We were only 10 so we had plenty of sleeping room we didn't even use the sofa bed . The only complaint was that the propane tank attachment had a leak and after emailing the contact we had no response. So we could not BBQ we ended up cooking our meats in the oven. The oven is great the kids loved playing around the property and looking for cool sticks. I don't know how old this property is but it need minor work around the house. But it was not inconvenient. The jacuzzi… let's just say your lucky if one person fits. We didn't even turn it on. Over all we would stay there again, even if the grill doesn't work.
