• A lot of work to be done but potential

  I wanted to love this house but I should have listened to other reviews. There are just so many problems to list and I hate complaining so before I put my review on VRBO I will address it here hoping for a return from Evolve. Upon arrival it didn't look like a cleaning service had been there in months. Carpet had debris, beds had yellow stains, my children found condoms in their dresser drawer, ALL the blinds were broken or missing slats, there was unfinished loads in the washer and dryer, cracked dishes in the cupboard (thank goodness we brought our own), the gameroom had no darts to play with the dart board, the Foosball table had missing parts and tape on the handles, the card table was so wobbly and the chairs were broken I didn't allow my kids to play on it. Moving on to the decks, ALL furniture on the middle deck were unusable and torn up. The worst part about both decks were how unstructurally sound they were. I didn't let any of my guests use the decks because it was scary to stand on them. My mother in law nearly fell going down the front door because the railing weld s broken and not up to code and absolutely hazardous. This house has SO MUCH POTENTIAL but even reading the guest book all of the complaints I'm addressing are written in there and more. It feels like this house has been neglected by housekeeping and Evolve. For the high cost I paid to stay at 1105 Nadelhorm Lake Arrowhead, CA I am highly upset and disappointed. Now if Evolve can reach out and make this right I will consider raising my review when I post it on VRBO.

  Couple of minor problems the kitchen sink had a leak. They had a pan underneath it to collect water should’ve been fixed before anybody arrived and the master bedroom heading into the master bath. The carpeting was wet. Other than that, our family had a wonderful stay.

• Needs work wouldn’t stay again

  The house has a great view. However it was not very clean and really just needs a lot of work. Blinds are missing, one of the bedrooms had a stain on the sheets, under the bed was trash a brush that wasn’t ours and they really should check the drawers. I found condoms in one thank god they weren’t used. The deck is sketchy and I would have loved to sit out there to enjoy the view but no thanks. Also if you poop in the downstairs bathroom the smell rises to the top floor through the vents. Pretty sure the electrical is not up to code in the house either. Would never stay here again.

• Great Property in Need of a Handyman

  First the good stuff. The location is great. Has a beautiful unobstructed view of the lake from the main room, and the master bedroom. The main room looks very nice, furniture, light fixtures. And the price is very competitive for the square footage and the view.Now for the rest. This property uses a management company, so responses are delayed by about a day, and only during their business hours. Not what you usually get with a vacation rental. We asked about checking in early, but were told the cleaning lady needed the full six hours between the last guest and us to get the place ready. Fine, but when we arrived we found wet towels in the washer, and the dryer, and while searching for toilet paper, a used kleenex under the sink. Also, some of the baking dishes my daughter used were very dirty. Not so fine.I mentioned looking for toilet paper, because despite three bathrooms there were only two extra rolls in the entire house. Barely enough to last our stay. Also, there were no napkins, or paper towels.I mentioned baking. The oven required electricity due to the controls, but when we attempted to turn it on, it didn't work. Pulled it out, and found out it was plugged into a dead outlet, nice.The place lists a number of games in the lower room, and they are all there, but... The ping pong net is missing both clamps to keep it up. The dart board has no darts. The fooseball table has two handles that have come off, and another one almost coming off. They just require a philips screwdrive to re-attach. Back to the bathroom, the master has a sliding door that separates the shower and toilet from the sinks. It was off the track, and the floor was not level that is slides across, so I was unable to pull it out and re-attach. And the fan in the bathroom did not work. Also, they have small trash cans by the toilet, but the cans had no liners. If you're from Southern California you know what that means.We wanted to use the fireplace during our stay, and it was raining much of the time, but no one had brought up more firewood from the backyard, so we had to buy some. We also had to buy a lighter and fire starter, as none of that was available on the property.And last but not least, we woke up after our first night to find massive leaks around the windows facing the lake. The leaks were there long enough to cause a hairline crack in the game room ceiling, where water also pooled.Our worst vacation rental ever.
