Unfortunately, this property NOT being cleaned either well or regularly. A thick layer of dust is on all windows and blinds. There are cob webs both inside and outside of nearly all (dirty)windows and on some chairs inside. An active wasp nest with live wasps was exposed when we tried to open the umbrella on the deck. We opened the door to the dishwasher, which then fell out of the cabinet and was full ( of unclean dishes). When the power went out ( which I understand is not the property Mgrs fault) we reached for the 2 flashlights that are in the kitchen, supposedly for just such an occasion. Neither flashlight had a working battery in it. At this point we decided to load the car and return home early.Just as an aside, we were not informed until we received the 3 page property rules approx. 2 days before arrival that the driveway was not safe and we will need to park on the road (at least one full story up the steep drive), that would have just been inconvenient if it weren't for the fact that my wife had full hip replacement surgery just a few weeks ago. I WILL JUST HOPE THAT THE OWNER IS UNAWARE OF HOW POORLY THIS PROPERTY IS BEING MANAGED AND THIS CAN ALL BE FIXED FOR THE BENIFIT OF ALL THOSE WHO FOLLOW.

My kids loved the cabin and had a blast in the snow on the property. Overall the place is very well kept with lots of amenities to entertain oneself. The only confusion we had was how to start the fire, and that information was provided by the host, however my kids had covered up the folder with their gear. Overall a good experience.

I'm writing this review very frustrated after having several issues with the cabin we rented and after not being able to contact the manager. I really wanted to talk to the manager to solve the issues before posting but couldn't contact him. Thought the beds and floors were clean and the location was great, these are some of the issues we encountered:1. They never sent us instructions to check in and had to call that same day and try for several times before getting an answer. Vrbo helped us but not the host.2. The burner was so dirty that it caught fire when trying to heat water to make tea. Thank god one of us knew how to deal with grease fire! it was so scary we didn't use the kitchen anymore.3. Pots and pans were really dirty and old.4. The advertised grill was filthy and there was nothing to clean it up.Summary: it could have been a great experience because the location and cabin are pretty but had to deal with a dangerous and unsafe situation. We couldn't cook anywhere and we're still waiting for the manager/host response. He didn't even answer the first message we sent when we rented the cabin.

Spent a few nights here in order to attend a small memorial in Murphy's. The location was great, as we have family from Murphy's to Arnold. Check in was easy, and just used a code to get into the front door. Overall, the property was nice. Beds were not very comfortable, and the bottom bunk bed especially was not set up well (full or queen air bed on a twin size frame). My son ended up falling off the bed in the middle of the night, which shook the whole house. I think if the beds and some of the small appliances (toaster, pots/pans) were upgraded a bit, it would have made for a more comfortable stay.
