Tranquil Condo in Park Setting w/ Kitchen + Patio!

• Local Stay During Renovations

  We rented this condo because we had to vacate our nearby house during a week-long renovation. It was basically as advertised and fulfilled its purpose. For the price, it's a good choice. It could be improved if the owners would invest in a king size bed in the loft area. For normal to larger size parents, the queen size bed is a bit tight. There's a queen size bed downstairs for the kid(s). Also, the water heater must be 100 feet from the faucets since you have to run the water for minutes (no exaggeration) to get hot water. As an Arizonan, where water is precious, that should be corrected.

  The condo was very clean and well stocked for our arrival. The kitchen had all the utensils and condiments we needed. Condo was situated near Udall park and the bike path. The management was helpful and flexible about our departure time. We definitely would stay here again.

• Only stay if you're looking for a "Hampton Inn" kind of stay.

  I was very disappointed to the point I only stayed 1-night of my 4-night booking. The Condo could better be described as a very large retirement community. The photos of the property were very misleading; anything but tranquil and peaceful. I've rented frequently from VRBO with great success and always with a wonderful property owner. This particular rental was through an agency, EVOLVE. That should have been a red flag for me. This experience is a bad reflection on VRBO; a company I believe is usually very good at what they do. I contacted the manager immediately with my concerns and only received an automated message. Still trying to get a partial refund, for false advertising.

We followed up with the homeowner, who assured us that the condo is just as advertised. The photos are accurate, and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Their property manager reaches out to guests before arrival and checkout, and they did not hear back from you at either time with any concerns. We at Evolve were not contacted about a refund either. We're sorry if you were unhappy with anything, but we are confident that future guests will find this condo clean and comfortable!

• Whirlwind Birthday Weekend

  We were in Tucson for a family gathering celebrating grandson's 1st B-day. Property was nice, very quiet, very clean and had pretty much everything we needed. Designated parking space is a little tight for any full-sized vehicles, and the kitchen and dining area were a bit on the small side, but fine for us.
