• Beautiful House-No heat for pool/hot tub

  We traveled for a long weekend stay at this scottsdale location planning to spend all our time in the pool and hot tub. The house itself was beautiful! Clean and homey, very nice setup. We all loved the outdoor 'living room' with tv and firepit for the evenings. Grassy area with cornhole game was nice.

  CON-The first night there we contacted management as the pool/hottub had clearly not been heated at all, despite having added that to our reservation so it would be ready to go when we arrived. We attempted to turn on heat, per house instructions, to no avail. Manager did respond and say they would send a technician to fix the heat. We were there for FIVE days and although I made attempt after attempt to check with the manager on the status of the heat nothing was ever done. He did offer to refund the extra money I put on the reservation for the pool heat but I have not seen a refund yet 2 weeks later. We were VERY disappointed as we hoped to use the hot tub! Although we could use the pool due to the air temperature being in the 90s. It was still chilly and we had wanted it warmer for all day use (hence adding it to our reservation).

  We loved the house and location but I would not book again simply because I feel the heat should've been turned on in advance and any issues taken care of before our arrival. Now rereading previous reviews I see this is not an isolated issue. There are just so many other options for locations to stay!

• Not as advertised

  This review doesn't reflect the house itself which is actually a very nice, clean house with the exception being that the master bedframe is in need of repair. The inside and outside are all well kept, neighborhood is pleasant and quiet, and the home is in the condition as advertised.

  This review is more a reflection of the property management company Evolve. We requested the pool to be heated well in advance, only to find out 3 days before our stay that it would NOT be heated due to being broken (as per the owner's representative). We attempted to cancel our reservation, only to be told by Evolve that it was fixed (they had talked with the owner) and everything would be in working order. When we arrived at the property, sure enough, the pool/hot tub were cold. We spoke with the owner's rep who told us the heater was broken and had been for about 6 weeks, and that he told the property managers (Evolve) that they needed to stop advertising it as having a heated pool, until the matter could be fixed. We were only there for 3 days so it was impossible to find another place. We requested a full refund as we specifically wanted the pool heated for our stay, were told it would be, even though they knew it wouldn't be. We have NOT been granted that request.

  We will never stay at a home managed by Evolve again.

  We love this home, and booked it specifically for the outdoor living space, including a pool and hot tub. We read through the entire manual regarding the home, and it was clearly laid out that landscaping occurred on a particular day of the week. We planned to spend the day outside at the pool, knowing that the landscapers would not be there that day. Unfortunately, the day we planned to be outside, the landscapers appeared out of no where in the backyard and were there for three hours during the warmest part of the day. I communicated that to the property manager and basically got a response “OK“. Had we known that the landscapers would be using loud lawn maintenance equipment for three hours we would’ve made other plans for the day. We also had to have a technician come out and fix the lock on the door as well. There was a lack of communication and acknowledgment with this property management company. In the future, I will look for a sole proprietor and not a property management company.

• I spent my vacation waiting for things to be fixed

  I booked a house with a heated pool, paid extra for the heating, but the pool heater didn't work until the end of the trip when there wasn't enough time to actually heat the pool. We checked in Saturday night. I looked at pool info on phone and told Local Contact Chris that something didn't seem right and that pool and hot tub were cold. Chris had pool guy come Sunday, but nothing was fixed. Monday I emailed Evolve, the property management company. Tuesday Pool guy comes and fixes issue. But because the heater only heats one thing at a time (either the hot tub or the pool) and pools take a couple days to get up to temp we heated the hot tub. Wednesday evening we were able to use the hot tub, but the pool was still cold of course. Thursday afternoon we departed. We had other issues, shower drain in master plugged so water spilled all over bathroom floor, and not being able to come and go from the front door because the house was just sold and it seems the previous owners didn't give the new owners the code. But those are minor to me compared to not being able to use the pool. Swimming with our kids is really important to us. We travel quite a bit, and when we book homes, we book them with heated pools so we can swim as a family. But because the pool heater was broken, we were not able to enjoy the pool. And I got to spend my vacation corresponding with the local contact about repairing issues with the house that should have been fixed before we arrived. I feel like we missed a special opportunity with our kids, and if I had known that the pool heater was broken I would have booked another house in a heartbeat.

• Scottsdale spring break

  This was a great place! The space was perfect for my husband and I and 2 of our college aged children. It was close to hiking and golfing. Our only issue was the pool andhh hot tub—we never did get them heated. Chris, the property manager is going to refundbb our pool fee. For us this was not a huge issue but would have been when our kids were younger!
