  2nd day of 15 there was a leak under the sink that required intervention from a plumber. Sure these things happen, however no one representing the property was available in town. Contacts to report the issue to were either on vacation out of the country or back at their home in Colorado. This ate up most of my day and rendered the master bathroom unusable. As the plumber was in the unit also fixing the rotted floor under the sink - he must have been sawing wood in the bathroom itself as there was sawdust throughout the shower and bathroom floor as well as the sink that required our vacuuming and cleaning. Security issues a concern at this property as both of the sliding glass patio doors had been installed backwards. The door from the bedroom had a broken handle and wouldn't lock at all. Though a repair man came to get the lock somewhat functional it was never fully resolved during my 15 day stay.Description of the property showed an outdoor grill for use. This grill was so unusable due to the build up of grease it took myself and my sister a full two hours to clean this to a usable state. This too was not how I hoped to spend my vacation time. By far this is not the caliber of rental I expected from the previous reviews. Nor have I ever needed to contact someone for an issue with a property that had no one available in town to address any concerns. Speaking extensively with the owner on phone and text/email resulted in minimal recompense.

  Hi Jane, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  -We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced during your stay. While we were not available locally during your visit, we were glad to be able to get a plumber out the same day you reported the leak. Unfortunately, they did leave a mess behind which we found out about after your stay and we credited you for the inconvenience.
  -The checkout directions state that the bbq grill does need to be cleaned if used before your departure, and the previous guest did not but we are sorry if this caught you off guard. We encourage guests to read thoroughly and ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs.
  -We have looked into the sliding doors and they are installed correctly. While they may be a little tough to open we have ordered new handles for future guests to have a better experience.
  We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to host you again!
