My brother's partner's memorial service
3/5 It was great that my kids and my grandkid wanted to come with me to support me and my brother who lost his partner of many years.
The house was nice and somewhat clean. I had to clean out the microwave of little bits of fried something.
When we walked into the laundry room just to check it out there was a bad smell. We opened the door to the garage and much to our disgust were about 8 or 9 big black bags full of very smelly garbage complete with maggots.
We texted our contact and she said to take the garbage out which we did. The waste management company emptied the containers and left the bags on the front driveway. It was not very appealing to my cousin and her husband from another state who met us there to go on to my brother's house.
Also there was a pair of ladies pants found on the lower table in the family room. We left them there, but it was a little unnerving.
Just a suggestion: put small trash cans in the bathrooms.
