Our mission was to hike the Bright Angel and South Kaibab Trails at the Grand Canyon. Our Flagstaff condo was the perfect jumping off point for our drive to the South Rim. Basha's Grocery and even Flagstaff Vision where I got an appointment within 20 minutes of calling them over contact lens issues were examples of the great local services in Flag. The six of us could easily spread out in this luxurious three-bedroom condo. We'd come back in a heartbeat.
Overall the place was really nice. Just a few items to mention so you are at least aware. I would say the beds especially the master was awful. The queen bed in the other room looked more like a full size not sure why. We all felt like we were sleeping on cardboard. Maybe at the very least put some thick mattress toppers. The back door was a struggle to open and shut. When we arrived we couldn’t get in the door with the keypad. After several attempts we had to call owner. Be aware the driveway is on a hill and is very small therefore a full size truck does not fit and you cannot park in the street (Fire Lanes). The upstairs heater continuously kicked on so it was super hot upstairs and super cold downstairs. You will need to continuously move the thermostat. Not sure if it was already on a scheduled timeframe. Unfortunately, due to snow still left on ground in back yard we were unable to get to bbq and there is no fire pit. I am not sure if thats because this place is in a neighborhood. For us sitting outside by a fire in the woods is a must so if your looking for that you may want to stay in a cabin more in the woods. If you looking for just a place to sleep and have easy access to NAU or in the City the place is good for that. If your looking for something more secluded or to enjoy the outdoors this place really isn't for that. On a positive note the place is decorated nicely.
Great location! Very close to the airport. We went north to Page and south to Sedona. Would definitely stay here again!
