Best VRBO Place We Have Stayed At
5/5 This is a very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped short term rental. I think this was the best VRBO place we have used. Plenty of room with 4 bedrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped. It is in a rural area, so there could be a drive to get some things. However, the basics are near. Fairfield Bay, a developed community, has restaurants and services. The town of Greer's Ferry is across the lake via bridge and it has more.
This house was the perfect place to kick back. It is also central to some of our family so it worked well to get together with them. We enjoyed fishing on the lake with a friend.
However, the most amazing thing about this house is the view. It is spectacular! You have a breath-taking overlook of the Middle Fork Little Red River just before it flows into the lake. We spent most of our time on the deck taking in the view and watching birds. We counted over 35 species in our short stay.
Highly recommended!
Family getaway
5/5 Check-in was a breeze. House was just as described. Close to whatever you need. Wish the weather was nicer so we could've enjoyed the deck more but we still had wonderful time. Definitely worth the money.

More than we hoped for!
5/5 You know that excited feeling when you first arrive at a property? It's always our favorite part - walking in, looking around, taking in all that you'll get to enjoy over the next several days. This is the best "walking in" experience we've ever had. Everything was so well thought out - the decorations, the little extras, the comforts of home that you really want in a vacation property - it was all so perfect. One thing to note that is when renting it, I didn't consider an older aunt I have that has a little trouble walking. Everything is on the main floor so she didn't need to go upstairs, but there are a few steps from the parking areas to the living quarters that she had trouble with. There is an enclosed garage for you to park (that was a great plus!) as the driveway was quite steep.The only thing that is upstairs is the kids' room. It was ideal for them. They made a huge fort out of the two bunk beds and had a blast in that room. There is also a separate air conditioner up there which is nice.All around a perfect getaway spot - we plan to return one of these days. :)

Very nice and peaceful.
4/5 Great view of the river. Nice for adult get away. A little too far away from kid activities. Lake, boating, and hiking is close.
